About Us

The LaGrange County Sewer District was formed in 1990 as a separate governmental entity to provide sewer service for the lakes and the unincorporated towns of the County.  On March 4, 2008 IDEM (Indiana Department of Environmental Management) amended the original order and added water authority to the District, changing the name to the LaGrange County Regional Utility District.  The District is a political subdivision of the State of Indiana, operating as a municipal corporation, under the authority of Indiana Code 13-26-5-1.  The District has a set of by-laws and several ordinances in place to help direct the Board.
